The operation
One owner. One yard. Barrie, Ontario.
Kempenfelt Rentals is a small, new operation on the shore of Kempenfelt Bay — built to rent good equipment without the counter queue, the account signup, or the phone tag.
6 units · Barrie base · 7 days a week, 7am–7pm · delivery $95 flat in Barrie–Innisfil
The short version
A small yard that answers its own messages.
Every request that comes through this site lands directly with the owner. There is no dispatch desk and no call centre — he checks whether the machine is actually free, works out the number, and texts you back. Usually within a few hours, seven days a week between 7am and 7pm.
The fleet is short on purpose. Every machine is here because it covers a job people around here actually have, not because it fills a line on a price list — and the equipment page is the fleet: if it is listed there, we own it, and the rate beside it is the rate.
We’re new, and we’d rather say so than pretend otherwise. That’s why outer-zone delivery gets quoted against your real address instead of a zone chart that would be wrong half the time, and why the availability you see is the availability we have.
How we work
Three things we won’t make you guess at.
The whole point of putting the fleet, the rates and the calendar online is that you shouldn’t have to phone anyone to find out where you stand.
You see what’s actually free
The calendar on every equipment page shows real bookings, not a sales promise. If a machine is spoken for, it says so before you send anything.
Deposits come back in full
The deposit is quoted on its own line, separate from the rental, and it is returned by Interac e-Transfer when the unit is back.
Quotes are full numbers
Rental, delivery and HST, all visible before you commit. The total you see on the review step is the total we text you.
Where we are
Based in Barrie, on Kempenfelt Bay.
The yard is in Barrie, which is why pickup here is free and why Barrie and Innisfil are the flat-rate core. From there the float runs out to Orillia, Angus, Midland and Collingwood — the same county, longer drive, quoted by distance.
